Literary assignment is an argument about the research
carried out and the views and the perspective of the writer’s views and not
just the summary of the literary work. This is a work of literature and should
stand out. To make it stand out it should include all the elements of writing
an analysis that should be eloquent and clear.
Students are asked to write literary analysis because this paper makes the students think and
critically analyze all the reasons why a poem, play or a novel was written. It
becomes a tool of measurement of a student’s skills. To understand why a
literary piece is written one should realize the author’s choices and highlight
them wisely.
Before starting, formulation of the thesis is very
important. It is to write all the reasoning and the main ideas on a piece of
paper and to construct a timeline and a process through which the analysis
would be carried out. Everything should be planned out and thought about before
starting the actual analysis so you may not stop in the middle of your writing.
It is very important to make a statement that is clear and
concise to let the reader understand the main focus of the writing. Explaining
the statement you should include in the significance of the writing. The
statement should be well thought out and very clear, leaving no doubt in the
mind of the reader.
A literary analysis can only be flawless if the writer has
gone through the literary piece thoroughly noticing every detail so it can be
easy to criticize the writing.
Also finding evidence for every statement purposed is very
important and it also strengthens the writing. It will also show how much
deeper the writer has gone through the literary piece. Nobody can object on any
point unless every point has logic and a proof.
Always remember to incorporate other arguments about the
same literary piece that supports your argument. Quote their text and
incorporate their text. This will toughen your piece. Always criticize and
support your idea, your writing should be systematic and have a rhythmic feel
to it. The tone should always be similar to the literary text you have chosen.
